Dorothy "Dot" Carter, 92, of Clanton, Alabama passed away January 18, 2022 at her residence in Clanton, Alabama.
She was born July 29, 1929, daughter of the late Mason Snider and the late Lela Snider (DeLoach).
Ms. Dot was a Registered Nurse at the old Clanton Hospital and then at the Chilton County Department of Health. After years of caring for others, she devoted much attention on her yard and growing beautiful flowers. She was a longtime member at West End Baptist Church. She felt blessed to spend her later years with her church family and many close friends.
Surviving are her Son, Joe Carter; Daughter, Debora (Michael) Wilson; Granddaughter, Kate (Noah) Crotwell; Grandson, Carter (Charlene) Wilson; Great-Grandchildren, Conner Crotwell, Owen Crotwell, Savannah Crotwell and Ozzy Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Mason Snider; Mother, Lela Snider (DeLoach); Husband, Joe Thomas Carter.
Friends will be received Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home.
Services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home.
Interment will follow with immediate family in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
In Lieu of Flowers the family request donations in her honor to West End Baptist Church or to ones favorite charity.
