Edward Stanley Rev. Farris

Rev. Edward Farris, age 78, of the Collins Chapel Community passed away Sunday October 30th, at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on February 15, 1938, the son of the late Virgil and Estella Farris. He was a brick mason by trade. He had been a member of The Church at Robinson Springs since 1959. God called him into the ministry in 1972. He served as a pastor of The Church at Pleasant Hill in Carrolton, GA and later at The Church at Robinson Springs in Clanton, AL for seventeen years. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Euna Adams Farris. They were blessed with seven children also of the Collins Chapel Community. Sons: Tim (Cindy) Farris, Rev. David (Beth) Farris, Glenn (Cindy) Farris, and Phillip (Sharon) Farris. Daughters: Diane (Dan) Littleton, Wanda (Rodney) Carroll, and Angela (Ronnie) Jennings. He had one honorary son, Jerry Adams. He was also blessed with 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Rev. Farris is survived by one sister, Mackie Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, and church family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Estella Farris. Brothers: Leon, Austin, Raymond, and Ralph. Sisters: Infant Delene and Dot Porter. One grandson, Colin Anthony Farris and son-in-law Rodney Carroll. Visitation will be at Martin Funeral home Tuesday, November 1st from 5-8 p.m. Services will be held at The Church at Robinson Springs Wednesday, November 2nd, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Farris, Rev. Bobby Littleton, Rev. Harold Farris, and Rev. Gary Jennings officiating. He will lie in state one hour prior. Burial immediately following at the church cemetery.
