Grady Braxton Gibson, 77, of Jemison, Alabama passed away November 14, 2024, at his residence.
He was born March 2, 1947, in Chilton County, Alabama, son of the late Briggs Gibson and the late Dorothy Gibson.
He was a rancher and farmer. He retired from Mercedes Automotive Plant in 2018. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.
Surviving are his Daughters, Angie Townsend, Melanie (Wayne) Atchison; Son, Greg (Donna) Gibson; Grandsons, Chris (Ashley) Atchison, Austin (Kayla) Lucas, Bristol Gibson; Granddaughters, Summer (Jordan) Puckett, Sami (Chris) Calhoun, Tori (Beau) Waid, Skyley Townsend; 6 Great-Grandchildren, Brothers, Briggs Lee (Bobbie) Gibson, Benny (Stephanie) Gibson,Timmy (Debbie) Gibson; Sisters, Sallie (Ronald) Hand, Wanda (Eddie) Lockhart, A host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Briggs Gibson; Mother, Dorothy Gibson; Wife, Linda Gibson; Brother, Erskine Gibson.
Friends will be received Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Rasberry and Rev. Zach Bates officiating.
Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Atchison, Austin Lucas, Bristol Gibson, Beau Waid, Chris Calhoun, Randall Hand, and Jordan Puckett.
