He was born on Thursday, October 29, 1942 in Chilton Co., Alabama, Son of the late Marion Ellison and the late Ila Mae Dozier Ellison. He was a Carpenter. Surviving are his Daughter, Dana Ellison of Shelby, AL; Son, Jeff Ellison of Clanton, AL; 4 Brothers, Joe Ellison of Austin, TX, Junior (Lin) Ellison of Abilene, TX, Lennie (Carole) Ellison of Dayton, OH, Jimmy Ellison of Clanton, AL; 2 Sisters, Annie Ruth Wilson of Clanton, AL, Helen Joyce Dawson of Jemison, AL; A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews. Friends will be received from 5-8, Tuesday, December 2, 2008 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at 2:00PM. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Cane Creek Bapt. Cemetery, Clanton, AL Martin Funeral Home directing.
