James Thomas"Jimmy" Stewart, 80, of Maplesville, Alabama passed away January 11, 2021 at his residence. A graveside service will be held, Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at 11:30 a.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Maplesville. Charles Vaughn officiating and Martin Funeral Home directing. Jimmy worked for many years for the Alabama Department of transportation. He retired to a life on the farm, with his wife, Nina, He was born September 27, 1940 in Perry County. He is preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Mae Stewart, and a brother, Gerald Stewart. Surviving relatives include his wife, Nina Foshee Stewart; son, Mark (Lisa) Stewart; God-daughter, Lisa (Keith) Smith; two granddaughters, Katlin Stewart, Susie (Jesse) Brasher; three great-grandchildren, Gannon Carroll, Caroline and Amelia Brasher; three brothers, Hugh (Deanna) Stewart, Leonard (Mattie Ruth) Stewart, Charles (Gerri) Stewart; Sister, Betty Morgan and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. He loved his family, friends and his farm. He was deeply loved and will be missed by family and friends. Due to COVID-19, we encourage friends to wear a mask.
