Jane Elizabeth Patterson

September 7, 1939 — January 11, 2022

Jane Falkner Patterson “Jane,” 82, of Hoover, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2022 at her home.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Jane’s proudest accomplishments and greatest joys were her four children, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren, who all lovingly called her “Granny.” She was a fierce leader, devoted follower of Christ, and the world’s greatest cook. She particularly treasured time spent with family and friends enjoying her famous Sunday lunches.

She is survived by four children: Jody Patterson (Nola) of Birmingham, AL, Russell Patterson (Laurie) of Birmingham, AL, Robbin Patterson Sorrell (Robert) of Birmingham, AL, and Samantha Patterson Crabtree (Patrick) of Birmingham, AL; ten grandchildren: Caroline, Crayton, and Chandler Patterson, Blake Patterson and Jamie Patterson Manning (Andrew), Ashley Sorrell Whitsett (Cory), Stephanie Sorrell and Robert Sorrell Jr., Savannah and Falkner Crabtree; and three great-grandchildren: Hilton James, Ellison, and Patton Manning.

A private family service will be held at Chestnut Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 12:00 pm.


Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.
