Janet Beth Chastain

Janet Beth Chastain, 68, of Clanton, Alabama passed away on November 29, 2024 after a courageous fight, at St.Vincent's in Birmingham, Alabama.

She was born September 9, 1956, in Alabama, daughter of the late Ruben Horace Burnett and the late Alma Grace Burnett.

She was a homemaker. She was devoted to taking care of children. She loved to travel to the mountains and was a frequent visitor to the flea market.

Surviving are her Husband, Stephen Ray Chastain; Son, Stephen Brian (Natlie) Chastain; Daughter, Karen Beth (David) Hicks; Grandchildren, Ashley (Tyler) Crowson; Emily (Eathan) Bynum, Emma Chastain, Brayden Chastain, Caitlin (Russell) Orner, and Ashton (Carlie) Hicks; Great-Grandsons, Russell Orner, and Weston Crowson; Great-Granddaughters, Lydia Hicks, Anna Orner, and Harper Hicks; Sister, Pam Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Alma Grace Burnett; Father, Ruben Horace Burnett; Grandmother, Ruth Thompson.

Friends will be received Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Wes Kelley and James Hoyt Chastain, Jr. officiating.
