Surviving are his Wife, Shirley Smitherman of Clanton, AL; Son, Eric Oneal Smitherman of Clanton, AL; 4 Grandchildren, Bradley Adams, Brandon Adams, Amanda Adams & Christin Smitherman; 3 Brothers, Dovard Smitherman of Clanton, AL, Kalvin Smitherman of Clanton, AL, Bobby Jo Smitherman of Clanton, AL; 3 Sisters, Mildred Littleton of Clanton, AL, Betty Jean Edwards of Clanton, AL, Frances Johnson of Clanton, AL. Friends will be received from 6-9, Thursday, January 1, 2008 @ New Hope Baptist Church, Jemison, AL. Services will be held Friday, January 2, 2009, at 11:00 AM. at New Hope Baptist Church, Jemison, AL with Rev. Kalvin Smitherman officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Jemison, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
