Mildred Pauline Giles passed away at 11:30 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge at the age of 87. She was born in Oliver Springs, Tennessee and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ms Giles was a long-time resident of Birmingham and Clanton retiring from Edwards Chevrolet in Birmingham. Visitation will be held at Martin Funeral Home, Clanton, Alabama, October 12, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with a memorial service to follow. Following the service a private burial will be at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Mineral Springs, Alabama. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and David Harris; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Kathy and Wade and Denise Giles; sister, Mary Phillips; grandchildren, Melissa Giles, Kelley Harris, Matt Giles, Laura Filasek, Joey Giles, David Giles, Jr., Robin Giles, Sally Franco, Ben Harris, Chase and Lee Payne; 18 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Glynda Morgan. Preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Giles, Jr.; son, David Giles, Sr.; grandson, Mark Giles; parents, Sam and Maggie Trail; sister, Trudy Francois; brothers, Harvey, J.C. and Jimmy Trail. She was a member of the Baker, LA Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the many friends that provided prayers and support with special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Joseph's Hospice, Carpenter House.
