Lee loved Jesus. She was a strong Christian woman who was loved by all. Through her faith and love of Jesus, she shared many people the blessings and miracles of God. In her final years, she shared with family, that she was ready to be with Jesus. Lee met her husband at the age of twelve. She would ride on his bicycle. They were blessed with a wonderful marriage and four children. Lee had dinner on the table hot and ready for him to sit down after a hard days work. Lee was a stay at home mom until her youngest was in tenth grade. She entered the workforce as a receptionist at WJRB in Nashville. Many interesting people met Lee at her work. She especially enjoyed meeting Famous Amos and was impressed when he offered her a cookie which she politely declined because she didn't know who he was. Holidays and birthdays were always special. She made them memorable for all her family and friends. Everyone looked forward to these special holidays and events. Lee loved having her children all together and enjoyed keeping her babies close. She lived in Alabama, Tennessee, and finally Kansas. Each house was a home because of her love and attention. Later in life Lee went back to work at Walmart in Clanton, Alabama, and eventually with over ten years in Wellington, Kansas. Lee retired at the age of eighty.
When Mack passed in 2004, her entire world changed. He had been a part of her life for sixty-one years. They were married for fifty-six years. After his passing Lee moved from Alabama to Wellington, Kansas where her daughter and husband Debbie and Dave made a mother-in law suite for her. Lee looked forward to having family stop by and spend time with her. She enjoyed visits from her son Larry. Her hair had to be fixed, make-up on, nails done, and clothes from Belks. Even a visit to mailbox was with her looking her very best. Let's not forget the earrings. The ladies at Walmart would remember them.
Lee loved cheering for and watching Alabama football, and the Kansas City Chiefs. A stroke in 2021 changed life again. Words were more difficult when talking. This was difficult for her because she loved to talk. Word puzzles were also a favorite but became difficult too. She loved watching Hallmark movies and game shows on buzzer. Lee learned to adapt after her stoke and was able to communicate with loved ones what her needs were. She was strong willed and knew what she wanted. Most important was that she loved Jesus, and was ready to go spend eternity with him, and be surrounded with family and loved ones that went before her. She often said, I am ready to go home.

Services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Rocky Mt. United Methodist Church with Rev. Ronnie Tate.
Lee will be greatly missed on earth, and all will desperately miss her and wish they could be with her. She leaves a giant hole for all, but she is where she wanted to be, and that is with Jesus and her family in heaven. The sisters are singing together again in heaven. They loved singing and did so with each other often. There is a new trio in heaven singing their praises to Jesus.
