Amy Porter Mims, 96, of Thorsby died Friday, April 27, 2012 in Clanton. She was born on Saturday, April 22, 1916 in Chilton Co., Alabama, Daughter of the late Dock C. Porter and the late Nancy Rena Ray Porter. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are Daughter, Nancy (Joel) Rogers of Thorsby, Alabama; Granddaughter, Amy Rogers Williams of Clanton, AL; Grandson, Christopher Rogers of Jacksonville, FL; Great Granddaughter, Whitney Ryanne Williams of Clanton, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reese Mims; parents, Dock & Rena Porter; Sister, Itira Boswell; and grandson, Casey Ryan Rogers. Graveside Services will be held Sunday, April 29, 2012, at 3:30 pm. at Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison with Rev. Doug Powell officiating. Martin Funeral Home directing.
