Arthur L. "Buddy" Burks, Jr., 77, of Jemison died Sunday, August 9, 2015. He was born on Monday, November 15, 1937 in Alabama, Son of the late Arthur L. Burks, Sr. and the late Jettie Coggins Burks. He was a Retired State Trooper. Surviving are Wife, Nelia N. Burks of Jemison, AL; Sister, Elisia (Albert) Smith of Jemison, AL; Sons, Deryl (Sonja) Burks of Columbiana, AL, Duane (Mary) Burks of Clanton, AL, David Burks of Jemison, AL, Joseph Burks, Jonathan (Emily) Burks of Jemison, AL; Daughters, Debbie (Billy) Mitchell of Shelby, AL, Mary (BJ) Ward of Jemison, AL; 13 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Daughter, Donna Burks. Friends will be received from 5-7, Tuesday, August 11, 2015 @ Martin Funeral Home.
