He was born on Thursday, June 4, 1936 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Joseph Littleton Cox and the late Molly B. Wilkins. He was a Sheet Metal Worker. Surviving are his Wife, Bobbie Cox of Billingsley, AL; 2 Daughters, Karen (Tony) Payton of Clanton, AL, Tammy (Greg) Smith of Clanton, AL; Son, Darren (Theresa) Cox of Marbury, AL; Grandchildren, Miranda Roper of Maplesville, AL, Melissa Roper of Clanton, AL, Garrett Payton of Clanton, AL, Brady Cox of Marbury, AL, Gavin Payton of Clanton, AL, Madison Smith of Clanton, AL; Great Grandchildren, Destiny Brother, Charlie Cox, Decatur, AL; Sister, Gladys Carter, Prattville, AL; Numerous Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Granddaughter, Samantha Cox and several Brothers & Sisters. Friends will be received from 5-8, Monday, January 18, 2010 @ Billingsley Baptist Church. Services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at 2:00 P.M.. at Billingsley Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Wyatt and Rev. Barry Rowe officiating.
