Aubrey Hayes

Aubrey Hayes, 87, of Clanton, Alabama passed away June 17, 2021 at Bill Nichols State Veterans Home in Alexander City, Alabama. He was born April 28, 1934 in Alabama, son of the late Vastine Hayes and the late Pauline Williams Hayes. Aubrey "Mr. REA" began his career with Central Alabama Electric in 1964, retired as Clanton District Manager in 2004 with 40 years of service. Surviving are his Sons, Ralph (Donna) Hayes and Chris (Christy) Hayes; Grandson, Tyler Hayes; Granddaughters, Nicole (Clint) Smith and Taylor Hayes; Great-Grandson, Ashton Smith; Great-Granddaughter, Emma Smith; Sister, Lyndel Ellison; Brother, Ruben (Barbara) Hayes; and a Host of Nieces and Nephews.. He was preceded in death by his Beloved Wife; Lavern Hayes, Father, Vastine Alvin Hayes; Mother, Pauline Williams Hayes; Grandson, Rodney Hayes. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the staff at Bill Nichols Veterans Home for the excellent care and love he received while a resident there. Friends will be received Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama.
