Barbara Nell Adams

Barbara Nell Adams, 84, of Clanton, Alabama passed away September 20, 2026.

She was born July 25, 1942, in Alabama, daughter of the late Emmett Johnson and the late Mary Johnson.

She was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was devoted to her family, her faith, and serving others. Barbara was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and creating a home filled with love, faith, and warmth. For more than 50 years, she faithfully served alongside her husband, Rev. W. L. Adams, in the ministry. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived, loved, and cared for those around her. Through decades of ministry, she touched countless lives with her faith, kindness, encouragement, and servant's heart.

Surviving are her Sons, Roger (Pam) Adams, Dwayne (Melinda) Adams; Daughter, Tammy Littleton; Grandsons, Shane (Hannah) Adams, Justin (Jessica) Adams; Granddaughters, Candace (Jeffery) Cleckler, Andrea (Charles) Cain, Haley (Caleb) Hollis; Grandson, Travis (Maeci) Adams; Great-Grandchildren, Gabriel, Elizabeth, Blaire, Lakelyn, Sadie and Aiden; Great Great-Grandchildren, Tristian, Callie and Ryleigh; Sisters, Doris Wium, Mary Sansom.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, W.L. Adams; Father, Emmett C. Johnson; Mother, Mary E. Johnson; Brother, James Johnson; Sister, Nora Browning; Son-in-Law, Boyd Littleton.

Friends will be received Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Glad Tidings Church of God.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 2:00 pm. at Glad Tidings Church of God with Mike Chandler, Travis Adams officiating.

Interment will follow in Glad Tidings Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.

Barbara's legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family and ministry will live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, church family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
