Barbara Sue Gay, 68, of Clanton died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. She was born on Sunday, October 26, 1947 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late James Leonard Connell and Jewell Nelia Caton Headley. She was a Bank Teller. Surviving are her Husband, Mr. Steve Gay of Clanton, AL; Son, Mr. Greg Gay of Clanton, AL; Grandson, Mr. Hunter Gay; Granddaughter, Mrs. Deborah Gay Chapman; Great-Granddaughter, Miss Aaleyah Chapman; Mother, Mrs. Jewell Headley; Sister, Mrs. Rena Willis; Brother, Mr. James Connell. She was preceded in death by her Father, Mr. Leonard Connell. Friends will be received from 5-7, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Bell Lane Baptist Church. Services will be held Friday, October 30, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Bell Lane Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Powell and Rev. Tony Christensen officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
