Barry Alan Pitts

Barry Alan Pitts, 72, of Clanton died Saturday, September 21, 2019. He was born Thursday, June 26, 1947 in Georgia, Son of the late William Washington Pitts and the late Ruby Stitcher Pitts. He was a business owner. Barry touched many lives as a volunteer firefighter, ball coach, and dedicated community man. He was selfless; Barry exemplified "To whom much is given, much is expected." Known as Papa Barry, he was generous; blessing others and always paying it forward. Barry died a loved and respected husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Surviving are Wife, Louise Pitts of Clanton, AL; Daughters, Laurie (Rodney) Buckland of Lithia Springs, GA, Samantha (Kyle) Sims of Clanton, AL, Sally (Kevin) Fichtner of Auburn, AL, Jessica (William) Trotman of Montgomery, AL; Son, B.J. (Tia) Pitts of Clanton, AL; Grandchildren, Savannah, Shane, Samuel, Hailee, Joseph, Lindsey, Lily, Olivia Faith, Katherine, Vivian, Lydia, Abigail, John Hollis; Sister, Vicki Boggus of Franklin, GA. Friends will be received from 5-7, Sunday, September 22, 2019 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, September 23, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at Martin Chapel with Rev.
