He was born on Thursday, September 23, 1920 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Benjamin Harry Sims, Sr. and the late Austin Bruce Sims. He was a Carpenter. Surviving are his Grandsons, Timothy Bruce (Wanette) Sims of Clanton, AL, Richard Daniel (Margaret) Sims of Pell City, AL; 4 Great-Grandchildren; Step Grandchildren, Brian, Tommy & Joey Ikner. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Marie Sims and Son, Benjamin H. Sims, III. Friends will be received from 6-8, Friday, March 1, 2013 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 1:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Oneal Cleckler officiating. Interment will follow in Clanton City Cemetery, Clanton, AL.
