Bennie Joel Mims, 75, of Clanton died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. He was born on Monday, October 20, 1941 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late C.A. Mims and the late Lorene Coggins Mims. He was in Contract Sales. Surviving are Wife, Ozelle Mims; Son, Travis (Kristi) Mims; Daughter, Tracy Mims; Granddaughter, Kinslee Mims; Grandson, Kelan Mims; Brothers, Wayne Mims, Troy Mims, Carl Mims, Ricky Mims, Dale Mims; Sister, Judene Tippett. Friends will be received from 5-7, Friday, March 24, 2017 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Shane Wyatt and Bro. Jack Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
