Bertha H. "Eve" Gibson, 96, of Verbena died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabster. She was born on Friday, January 29, 1915 in Jefferson Co., AL, Daughter of the late James H. Hayward and the late Katherine Gerber Hayward. She was a Secretary. Surviving are her 2 Daughters, Carol Woodard of Ann Arbor, MI, Susan (Robert) Putman of Verbena, AL; 4 Grandchildren, Chris (Konae) Putman of Clearfield, VA, Jon Woodard of Boulder, CO, Greg Putman of Provo, UT, Samantha Woodard of Ann Arbor, MI; Great-Grandchildren, Ryker & Alana Putman; Numerous other family. Friends will be received from 5-7, Friday, March 18, [emailprotected] Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Verbena Cemetery with David Edwards and Buddy Gray officiating. Martin Funeral Home directing.
