Betty Deloney Smith, 81, of Clanton, Alabama passed away May 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 2, 1944, in Chilton County, Alabama, daughter of the late Lee Roland Minor and the late Margaret Ruth Carter.

She was a woman who deeply loved her family and cherished every opportunity to visit with others. Better known to most as "Dee", she never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. A devoted fan of Elvis Presley, she found joy in music, family gatherings, and celebrating every holiday with those she loved most. Her love and devotion to family were evident when she returned home to lovingly care for her mother during her declining health.

She faithfully served the community as a School Patrol Officer with Montgomery County for 21 years before continuing her career as a Vision Technician with Walmart for 15 years until her retirement. She will be remembered for her caring heart, dedication to others, and the love she shared with everyone around her.

Surviving are her Sons, Rick (Teresa) Deloney, Ryan Deloney; Grandsons, Richard (Erica) Deloney, Garrett (Kayla) Deloney, Trace Deloney, Jesse (Tori) Deloney, Cody Deloney; Great-Grandchildren, Bowen Deloney, Anne Carter Deloney, Campbell Deloney, Mary Peyton Deloney, Walker Deloney, Connor Deloney, Hudson Deloney, Montana Deloney; A host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Lee Roland Minor; Mother, Margaret Ruth Carter; Son, Mark Deloney; First Husband, Cecil Deloney, who was the father of her beloved children; Brother, Donnie Lee Minor.

Friends will be received Monday, June 1, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Monday, June 1, 2026, at 2:00 pm. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Buddy Bell officiating.

Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
