Betty Varden Nave Hughes, 74, of Clanton, Alabama passed away September 10, 2024, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL.
She was born March 12, 1950, in Alabama, daughter of Otis Varden and Lurleen Varden.
She was an insurance claims adjuster.
Surviving are her Husband, James C. "Jim" Hughes; Son, Kerry (Stacy) Nave; Daughter, Holly (Bill) Rupp; Step-Daughter, Tab Hughes (Mitchell) Mount; Granddaughter, Olivia Nave; Grandson, Connor Nave; Sisters, Doris Maddox, Helen Varden, Kathy (Jackie) Tracy; Brother, Wallace Varden.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Otis Varden; Mother, Lurleen Varden; Brothers, Renfroe Varden, George Varden, Otis Varden, Jr., Jackie Varden; Sister, Shirley Smitherman.
Friends will be received Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery.
