Betty Jean DuBose Mims, 71, of Clanton passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at her residence in Clanton, AL. She was born on Tuesday, January 20, 1942, in Orlando, Florida in Orange County, Daughter of the late John Watson DuBose and the late Lillian Lucille Hunt Dubose. Betty was a faithful and loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Surviving are her Husband of 53 years, Gerald D. Mims of Clanton, AL; Son, John (Jennifer) M. Mims of Clanton, AL; 2 Brothers, T.J. DuBose and James E. DuBose; 4 Grandchildren, Chris, Jared, Tyler, and Jessica; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Bryson and Brayden She was preceded in death by her Son, Jerry D. Mims and her Sister, Grace M. Dubose. Friends will be received from 5-8, Monday, June 17, 2013 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel, Clanton, AL. Services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. at New Covenant Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Bapt. Cem., Verbena, AL .
