Betty Carol Mims

Betty Carol Mims, age 76, of Montgomery passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

She was born on Friday, March 21, 1947 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late Harvie Lee Mims and the late Edith Culp Mims.

She was a retired State of Alabama employee with the Retirement Systems of Alabama. She received special recognition for 50 years of service. Her generosity, baked goods, and selfless service were a blessing to everyone who knew her. Her strong faith in Jesus Christ, beautiful singing voice, and love for all children will be dearly remembered by her family and friends.

Williams, Jr. (Darlene), Sharon Russell (Hamp), Robbie Rasberry (Tabatha), Angie Bowen (Gary), Ashley Hughes (Jay); Great Nieces and Nephews, Lauren Russell, Hamp Russell, Jr. (Sarah), Joshua Williams (Laurie Jean), Jessica Giardino (Thomas), Heather Simmons (Joshua), Tess Womack (Brett), Syl Neel (Alycia), Samantha Rasberry, Brittany Rasberry (Michael), Patrick Bowen, Sean Bowen, Cassie Bowen, Erin Hughes; Great, Great Nieces and Nephews, Emily Williams, Cole Williams, Isabella Williams, Adahlyn Womack, Aisley Ann Womack, Cora Womack, Catherine Womack, Jep Womack, Hampton Russell, III, Annie Russell, Darby Russell, Edy Williams, Nixon Williams, and Theodore Giardino.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Harvie and Edith Mims; Sisters, Fannie Lee Rasberry, Rose Williams; Nephew, Michael Williams; Great Nephew, Joseph Williams.

Family will be received from 9-10 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Mt. Nebo Methodist Church. Services will be held at 10 a.m. with a graveside prayer to follow. Officiating will be Rev. Tony Hughes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Nebo Methodist Church.
