Billy "Bill" Joe Attaway, 84, of Clanton died Monday, April 23, 2018 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. He was born on Monday, September 18, 1933 in Shelby Co., AL, Son of the late Vernon Attaway and the late Lallage Sweeney Attaway. He was the marine police on Lake Mitchell. Surviving are his Daughters, Tracey (Barry) Nelson & Leslie (Charles) Durham; Son, Larry Woods; Brother, Charles Attaway. Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018 at Walnut Creek United Methodist Church. Services will be held Friday, April 27, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Walnut Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Lennie Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, AL 35045. Martin Funeral Home directing.
