Billy Ray Baker

Billy Ray Baker, 77, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019. He passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. Billy was born and raised here in Clanton, about a mile from Providence Baptist Church. He graduated in 1960 from Chilton County High School. He was a carpenter by trade for about sixty years. Billy was a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He was loved and respected by so many. He is survived by his Wife, Jackie of 48 years; Daughter, Tina (Greg) Nelson; Sons, Chris (Rochelle) Baker, Todd (Leah) Baker; Brothers, Ronnie (Dorothy) Baker, Frankie (Pat) Baker and Donnie Baker; Sister, Patsy (Dillard) Cleckler; Ten Grandchildren, Five Great-Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Bill and Pearl Baker. Billy will forever be missed by all that knew him. Friends will be received Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Providence #2 Baptist Church, Clanton, Alabama. Services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Providence #2 Baptist Church with Glenn Bonds and Terry Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Providence #2 Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama . Martin Funeral Home directing.
