Billy Lawrence MIMS, 72, of Jemison died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at his residence. He was born on Monday, January 3, 1938 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late C.A. Mims and the late Lorene Coggins Mims. He was a Truck Driver. Surviving are his Wife of 52 years, Dorothy Mims of Jemison, AL; Son, Gerald (Kattie) Mims of Jemison, AL; Daughter, Gay Hale of Wetumpka, AL; Granddaughter, Erin (David) Chandler of McCalla, AL; Grandsons, Zackery Hale & Kory Mims of Jemison, AL; 9 Siblings. He was preceded in death by his Grandson, Grant Allen Mims and 3 Siblings. Friends will be received from 1-2, Thursday, May 27, 2010 @ Mars Hill Baptist Church. Services will be held Thursday, May 27, 2010, at 2:00 P.M.. at Mars Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Evie Megginson and Rev. Terry Harris officiating.
