Billy Ray Mims, 69, of Clanton, Alabama passed away June 9, 2023, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.
He was born May 4, 1954, in Alabama, son of the late Horace Mims and the late Helen Mims.
He was an Industrial Painter and a loving husband, father, and BIG DADDY to his grandchildren.
Surviving are his Wife, Ruby Mims; Son, Christopher (Kristy Headley) Mims; Daughters, Crystal (Buddy) Baker and Christy (Scott) Harmon; Seven Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren; Sisters, Betty Sue Ryan, Linda Faye Sansom, Peggy Johnson, Shirley Thomas and Sabrina Moss; Brothers, Curtis Mims and Grady Lynn Mims.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Horace Mims, Mother; Helen Florine Mims; Brother, Earl Wade Mims; Sister, Horace Jean Campbell.
Friends will be received Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Mims officiating.
Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
