He was an Alabama State Trooper. Surviving are his Wife, Bobbie Ruth Tipton of Clanton, AL; 3 Daughters, Jackie (Ralph) Sanders of Clanton, AL, Dorothy Kay (Jim) Phillips of Prattville, AL, Barbara (Larry) Bice of Clanton, AL; 2 Sons, Hubert (Yoko) Tipton, Africa, James (Shannon) Tipton of Clanton, AL; 11 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren. Friends will be received from 5-7, Tuesday, June 14, 2011 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
