Bobbie Dean Maddox Adams, age 91, of Clanton, AL passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 16, 1934 in Clanton, AL
to the late Arthur and Dorenda Maddox.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Carolyn Maddox; nieces, Pat Milford (Jerry), Debbie Jacks, Karen Mims and Joni Wyatt; nephews, Danny Wright (Debbie), Benny Wright (Sherry),
Mike Maddox (Audra), Chris Maddox (Melissa); 22 great nieces & nephews; and her special pet Muffin.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Dorenda Maddox; husbands, Jeff Smitherman and J L Adams; twin brother, Billy Maddox; sister, Marvorene Wright; and niece Dorene Haden.
She has been a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church all of her life, and the church clerk for 72 years. She taught Sunday School for 60 years, and also supported many church activities.
She loved and was loved by every child she taught.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Mims & Rev. Doug Powell officiating.
Interment will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Maddox, Adam Jacks, Mike Maddox, David Wright, Derek Wright, and Dan Wright.
