Bobbie Ruth Tipton

Bobbie Ruth Tipton, 86, of Deatsville died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at her residence. She was born on Wednesday, November 25, 1931 in Talladega, AL, Daughter of the late Charles Pope and the late Minnie Lee Johnson Pope. She married Billy J. Tipton on June 26, 1950 and served as a lunchroom worker at the school. Surviving are Sons, Hubert C. (Yoconda) Tipton, James (Shannon) Tipton; Daughters, Dorothy Kay (Jim) Phillips, Barbara (Kenneth) Smitherman; Sister, Prescilla Pope Arnold; 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Billy J. Tipton; Daughter, Jackie Sanders; Parents, Charlie & Minnie Lee Pope; Brothers, Charles, Benny, Donald & Nicholas Pope. Friends will be received from 11-1:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2018 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, September 28, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Tony Christensen officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
