Bobby Belue Bates, 81, of Clanton, Alabama passed away September 1, 2020 at Jackson Hospital, Montgomery, Alabama. He was born August 16, 1939 in Athens, Alabama, and the son of the late Lewis and Eddie Bates. He retired from Maxwell Air Force Base. Friends will be received Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home, Clanton, Alabama. Services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home with Bro. James Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama. Family and Friends requested No Flowers, and to please donate to American Legion Post 216, Clanton, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
