Bobby Joe Oaks, 76, of Clanton died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at his residence. He was born on Tuesday, December 24, 1935 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Lonza Oaks and the late Molly Ruth Riggins Oaks. He was a Truck Driver. Surviving are Wife, Joan Oaks; 4 Sons, Steve (Marlo) Oakes, Greg (Angie) Oaks, Curt (Wendy) Oaks, Matt (Christy) Oaks; Daughter, Elaine (David) Bradley; 13 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren; 3 Brothers, Russell, Buck & Grady Oaks; 2 Sisters, Betty Pledger & Ailean Bolton. He was preceded in death by his Great Grandson, Brandon Love. Friends will be received from 5-8, Friday, October 19, 2012 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Bob Terrell officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
