Bruce Kent Cofer, 86, of Maylene, Alabama passed away September 14, 2026, at his residence in Maylene, AL.

He was born November 18, 1939, in Alabama, son of Jessie Cofer and Emmie Cofer.

Early in his career Bruce was an automobile mechanic. Later on he worked for ACIPCO in Birmingham as a Security Guard where he later retired.

Surviving are his Wife, Annie Rubena Bice Cofer, Son, Bryant G (Pamela) Cofer, Son, Brett (Cynthia) Cofer, Grandson, BJ (Elizabeth) Cofer, Granddaughter, Paula Cofer (Brett) Benson, Granddaughter, Skye (Paxton) Ray, Grandson, Blade Thompson, Great-Grandson, Codi Cofer, Great-Granddaughter, Taylor Turner, Great-Granddaughter, Courtney Benson, Great-Granddaughter, Leanna Benson.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Jessie Oliver Cofer, Mother, Emmie Elizabeth Cofer and 3 Sisters.

Friends will be received Friday, September 18, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, September 18, 2026, at 11:00 am. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Phillips officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison, Alabama.
