Bruce Wayne Wells

On Monday November 26, 2018, Bruce Wayne Wells, Sr, a loving husband and devoted father of five children passed away surrounded by his family at the age of 65. Bruce was born on February 20, 1953 in Birmingham, Alabama to Myra Gene Pool. He served in the Navy, then followed his dream as a cross country truck driver. On September 25 he married Sherry Burrier Wells. Along side with his ex-wife Elizabeth Thorne they raised two sons, Bruce Wells, Jr and Richard Kennemer and three daughters, Kathy Grimes, Rachael Carter, and Amanda Wells. Bruce had a passion for his animals, Marco Polo, Lilly Bug, Rose Mary, and Nibble. He loved to fish and hunt but most of all to spend time with his family. He was known for his witty personality, infectious laughter, and his kind, compassionate loving spirit. Bruce was preceded in death by his father; Jack Pool, brother; Randy Skinner and his daughter; Amanda Wells. He is survived by his wife, Sherry, his four children, Kathy, Bruce, Rachael, and Richard; mother, Myra, sister; Darlene Cuddle, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren with one on the way. Graveside with Military Honors will be on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 1:15 pm at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL. Please meet at the cemetery at 1:00 pm on Monday.
