He was born on Monday, February 9, 1931 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late George Porter, Jr. and the late Etha Ellen Ellison Porter. He was a Minister. Surviving are his Wife, Mrs. Irene Porter; Sons, Mr. Allen (Janet) Porter, Mr. Kenneth (Terri) Porter; Daughter, Mrs. Anita (James) Owens; Sisters, Mrs. Christine Ellison, Miss Emma Jean Porter; 4 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren all of Jemison, AL. He was preceded in death by his Parents, George & Etha Porter; Brothers, Vernon, Carl, & George T. Porter; Sister, Mrs. Pearline Martin. Friends will be received from 10-2, Sunday, July 6, 2014 @ Thompson Chapel Assembly of God Church, Jemison, AL. Services will be held Sunday, July 6, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at Thompson Chapel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Mark Bolton, Rev. Thurman Cleckler, Rev. Randy Reid officiating.
