C. C. Chick Carlton

Cecil Clark "Chick" Carlton, 94, of Clanton died Monday, April 6, 2015 at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, March 23, 1921 in Coosa Co., AL, Son of the late Timmons Carlton and the late Pearl Farris Carlton. He was the Superintendent of Horticulture for the Auburn Experimental Station for 35 years. He was a graduate of Auburn University and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Surviving are his Wife of 65 years, Etta Jo Carlton of Clanton, AL; Son, Mark Phillip Carlton of Foley, AL; Sister, Madelyn (Burt) Jones of Tuscaloosa, AL; A host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Mr. Timmons and Mrs. Pearl Carlton; Son, Michael Clark Carlton; 5 Sisters & 1 Brother A memorial service will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Clanton, AL.
