Carrie Helen Johnson Miller, 103, of Jemison died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at her residence. She was born on Sunday, December 14, 1913 in Birmingham, AL, Daughter of the late James Paul Johnson and the late Rosa May Upchurch Johnson. She was a homemaker and former resident of Birmingham, AL and Carrollton, GA. Mrs. Johnson was a resident at the Gardens of Clanton for 7 years. She was a member of Shiloh UMC for 43 years in Carrollton, GA. Surviving are her Daughter, Karen (Ed) Vernon of Jemison, AL; Son, Paul Miller of Douglasville, GA; Grandchildren, Alan Goin (Leigh Ann), Keith Miller, Jamie Moates (Bob), Jason Vernon, Craig Miller; Great-Grandchildren, Ashley Page, Olivia Miller, Alex Miller, Gavin Vernon, Ridley Vernon, Zander Vernon, Viola Vernon; Sister, Bobby Ruth Smith of Warsaw, MO. She was preceded in death by her Husband, James Weaver Miller, Sr.; Son, James Weaver Miller, Jr.; Grandson, Matthew Miller, Brothers & Sisters. Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. EST, Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, Carrollton, GA. Services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. EST at Shiloh United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Eason officiating.
