Charles Wayne Barnette, 88, of Clanton, Alabama passed away October 20, 2022 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama.
He was born September 25, 1934 in Alabama, son of the late Lawson Barnette and the late Myrtle Blake Barnette.
He was a Coal Minor for Drunmon.
Surviving are his Wife, Carolyn Barnette; Daughters, Sylvia Crump, Sandra Howell and Sharee Barnett; Eight Grandchildren; Nine Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Lawson H. Barnette; Mother, Myrtle Bell Barnette; Brothers, Larkin Barnette and James Willie Barnette; Sisters, Lillie Prather and Lois Battle; One Grandchild; One Great-Grandchild.
Friends will be received Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Kelley officiating.
Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.
