Charles Donald Cagle

Charles Donald Cagle, 89, of Verbena, Alabama passed away peacefully January 6, 2023, at his residence in Verbena, Alabama.

He was born August 19, 1933, in Alabama, son of the late John Parker Cagle and Martha Jane Headley Cagle.

He was a Superintendent of Security Division at Norment Industries from which he retired.  Earlier, he served in the United States Air Force in the Korean War and received the "Ambassador for Peace" medal.

Charles, PawPaw, was dedicated to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family, and country.  His joy in life was spending time with his great grandchildren, his grandchildren, and eating Granny's home cooking.  His smile was contagious and he impacted everyone who met him through his encouragement, love, and prayers.

Surviving are his Wife, Bobbie Cagle; Sons, Donald Ray (Bonnie) Cagle, Bobby Wayne (Karen) Cagle, and Chuck (Robin) Cagle; Grandchildren, Mitchell (Kat) Cagle, Justin (Roberta) Cagle, Hilary (Hunter) Hurst, Megan (Tyler) Hunnicutt, Rachel Cagle, and Thomas  Cagle.

He was preceded in death by his Father, John Parker Cagle;  Mother, Martha Jane Cagle; Sisters, Alma Cagle Jones, and Everee Cagle Driver, Brother, John Parker Cagle, Jr..

Services will be held, January 10, 2023, at 1:00 pm. at Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery with Rev. James Majerik officiating.

Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.
