He was born on Wednesday, October 12, 1932 in Jefferson Co., Alabama, Son of the late William McKirley Gilliland and the late Lucile Eaves. He was a Engineer Teacher. Surviving are his Wife, Clara Gilliland of Clanton, AL; Son, Charles Franklin Gilliland, Jr. of Dothan, AL; Daughter, Carolyn Joy Gilliland Copeland of Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Mr. & Mrs. William McKirley Gilliland and a Grandson, Benjamin Danna Shelley. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.. Services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at 3:00 pm. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matthew Debord and Rev. Randall Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Bapt.
