Charles David Popwell

Charles David Popwell, 71, of Clanton, Alabama passed away December 6, 2022, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama.

He was born August 10, 1951, in Clanton, Alabama, son of the late James Popwell and the late Virginia Popwell.

He was retired from Alabama Power Company.

Surviving are his Daughter, Chrystal (Jeff) Cleckler; Grandchildren, Chan Cleckler, Ashley Cleckler and Kainan Cleckler; Great-Grandchildren, Kenley Cleckler, Kambry Cleckler and Coen Cleckler; Sisters, Anita (Rickey) Smitherman, Bernice Jones and Jackie (Herman) Staggs.

He was preceded in death by his Father, James Popwell; Mother, Virginia Popwell; Brothers, James Earl Johnson and Carl Popwell.

Friends will be received Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.  at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barney Mims officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
