Charles Douglas Smitherman

Charles Douglas Smitherman, Sr., 66, of Clanton, Alabama, passed away on July 20, 2023.

He is the son of the late Milton and Odie Bell Smitherman.

He was a Foreman/Truck Driver.  He was a loving husband, father and Pappaw.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Alice Faye Smitherman; Daughters, Tracy (Kyle) Mims and Misty (Jamie Chapman) Smitherman; Son, CJ Smitherman; Granddaughterss, Kristen Connell, Courtney Robinson, Katlyn Childress and Ali Kayte Smitherman; Grandson, AJ Smitherman; Great-Granddaughters, Makenly Childress, Paizley Green and Hadley Green; Sisters, Dolly (Earl) Hesler, Shirley Patterson; Brother, Robert Smitherman; a host of Nieces and Nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, two brothers, five sisters and one infant grandson, Curtis Blake Smitherman.

Pallbearers:  Ethan Roper, Baby Jake, BJ Giles, Chase Chapman, Erik Smitherman and Larry Wayne Owens.  Honorary Pallbearer:  Brian Green.

Friends will be received Monday, July 24, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Monday, July 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Roe officiating.

Interment will follow in New Cedron Baptist Cemetery, Billingsley, Alabama.
