Charles David Stuman

Charles David Stuman, 72, of Helena passed away on June 1, 2024 at Hatley Healthcare.

He was born on December 9th, 1951 in Birmingham to parents Charlie and Elizabeth Stuman of Helena. He was a machinist with Vulcan Engineering and owner of “Mail Express” in Hoover. He enjoyed all types of music and played the piano, organ, and guitar. He was in a rock and roll band called, “Time” when he was young. He loved playing softball and coached when he wasn’t playing. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Helena, an ordained deacon who loved the Lord, and was a devoted fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. His greatest joy came from his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his Son, Reginald (Andrea) Stuman; Daughter, Rachel (Phil) Rachels; Grandchildren, Katelyn (Justin) Sullivan, Hayden Stuman, Lucas Jones, Lauren Jones, Ryder Rachels, Allison Reed, Madison Reed, Addison Reed; Great-grandchildren, Grayson and Emma Kate Sullivan; Brother, Jay (Tana) Stuman; Sister, Nancy Charlene Newman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Elizabeth Stuman.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 23240 Hwy 31 Jemison.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church with Pastor Brock Goetsch and Pastor Greg Nobles officiating.

Internment will follow at Helena Cemetery, County Rd 261, Helena Alabama.
