Charles Edward Williams

Charles Edward Williams, 94, of Clanton, Alabama passed away January 8, 2022 at his residence.

He was born November 15, 1927 in Alabama, son of the late Asa Williams and the late Kate Williams.

He was a U.S. Merchant Marine Engineer. He was a world traveler with lots of wisdom. One of his favorite things was to share that wisdom and his stories with everyone he knew and met.

He loved his family very much. If you knew him in any way, you knew what a selfless, caring, loving, and giving person he was.

Surviving are his Wife, Jeini Williams; Daughters, Maria (Kent) Willis and Kate (Judson) Akin; Grandchildren, Ellie Willis, Korbin Willis, William (L.J.) Akin and Elizabeth Akin; Sister, Mary Cheek; Nieces, Debbie Hall, Terri (Todd)  Murphy, Susan (Mac) McLaurin, Sandra (Tom) Parrish and Melissa (Alan) McLemore; Nephews, Johnny (Shirley) Hall and Jeff (Pat) Cheek; and a Host of Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Asa F. Williams; Mother, Kate Elizabeth Williams; Brothers, Virgil Williams and Asa Williams; Sister, Sue Hall.

Friends will be received Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
