Clarence Robert Litaker

Clarence Robert Litaker, of League City, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at his home in League City, Texas at the age of 84 surrounded by friends and family. He was born on June 15, 1940 in Mt. Creek, Alabama to Clarence and Velma Litaker.

Clarence (Bob) Litaker was a dedicated family man, neighbor, and former refinery worker and shipbuilder who enjoyed playing golf and reading in his leisure time. His proudest moments were the time that he raised his son, and later his sons daughter while his son was deployed to Afghanistan with the United States Army. “Bob” was known as the cool grandad on the block who always let his granddaughters friends on the street to come over and play and always felt compelled to send them home with full stomachs. “Bob” also enjoyed the times he was able to spend with his grandson who lived out of state, yet he kept in contact with him daily while discussing things such as NASCAR and other sporting events. “Bob” was affiliated with White Pond Baptist Church in White City, Alabama where he will be laid to rest.

He was preceded in death by his father Clarence, and Mother Velma Litaker , his brother Ed Litaker, and sister Lola Mae Parker and daughter in-law Pamela Catherine Litaker.

Bob is survived by his wife Janice Litaker, his son Michael Litaker and wife Beatrice Litaker, his granddaughter Ashley Nicole Litaker, and Grandson John Michael Litaker.

The Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 5-7:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573.

A Grave Side Ceremony will follow on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at White Pond Baptist Cemetery, in White City, Alabama under the direction of Martin Funeral Home, 1300 4th Ave N, Clanton, AL 35045, (205) 755-3550.
