Clarice Collins Moss

Clarice Moss, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away Saturday, Nov. 25. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at Martin Funeral Home, 1300 4th Ave. North, Clanton, Alabama, with burial to follow at Thorsby Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home. Clarice was born and grew up in Chilton County, Alabama, one of 10 children born to Alta Mae and W.A. Collins, Sr. She and her husband Earl settled in Indiana, where she lived most of her life. She later returned to Alabama, where she enjoyed being closer to her large extended family. Clarice was predeceased by her husband, Earl Moss; her parents; siblings Lula Mae Hashagen, W. A. (Bill) Collins, Jr., Helen Jones, and Floyd Collins; grandson, Zachary Chandler; and several of her husband's siblings. She is survived by her loving children, Ken Moss (Mary) of Calera, Pamela Moss (Karl Krenn) of Victoria, B.C., and Tim Moss (Grace) of Atlanta; grandchildren, Sam Moss (Jesse) of Bloomfield, N.J., Hannah Moss of San Diego, and Peyton Chandler of Birmingham; great-granddaughter, Bennie Charlotte Moss of Bloomfield, N.J.; siblings, Bennie Collins (Sam) of Thorsby, Ervin Collins (Priscilla) of Yorktown, VA, Jean Price (Randall) of Eclectic, AL, Deborah Robinson (Dana) of Thorsby, and Royce Collins (Jennifer) of Hoover.
