Clariece Payton, 94, of Clanton, Alabama passed away May 29, 2020 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was born February 14, 1926 in Clanton, Alabama, daughter of the late Robert and Carrie Carter. Surviving are her Son, Donald (Lynn) Payton; Daughter, Laquita Gail (The late Charles) Crawford; Grandson, Kevin Payton; Grandson, John (Jennifer) Crawford; Granddaughter, Angie (Steve) Ferrell; Granddaughter, Shannon Lykes; Twelve Great-Grandchildren and Six Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Father, Robert Lee Carter; Mother, Carrie Carter; Husband, John "Fed" Earl Payton; Two Brothers and Three Sisters. Friends will be received Monday, June 1, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, June 1, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home with Rev.
