Claudy S. Edwards

Claudy S. Edwards, 68, of Jemison, Alabama passed away February 25, 2022 at his residence in Jemison, Alabama.

He was born December 18, 1953 in Chilton County, Alabama, son of the late Herman Curtis Edwards and the late Mrytle Lee Edwards.

He was a welder by trade. Claudy loved helping people, never met a stranger and opened his doors to many. He had an unconditional love for his wife, Glenda, and his girls. He loved his grandchildren as his own. A special thank you to his sister, Sue, for being his rock.

Surviving are his Daughters, Yolanda (Johnny) Jones, Tracy (Keith) Teasley and Kristie Payne; Granddaughters, Claudia Dawson, Andrea Payne and Megan Jones; Grandsons, Samuel  Dawson, Amery Payne and Jesse Jones; Great-Grandchildren, Colton and Kimber Gregg; Sisters, Betty Sue Cobern, Diana (Danny) Henry, Sherry (David) Chamblee, and Terri (Mike) Long; Brothers, James "Doe" (Vickie) Edwards and Gary Wayne (Patricia) Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Herman Curtis Edwards; Mother, Mrytle Lee Edwards; Wife, Glenda Edwards; Brothers, James "Junebug" Edwards, Curtis Edwards and Billy Ray Edwards.

Friends will be received Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Calvin Smitherman officiating.

Interment will follow in Mars Hill Baptist Cemetery, Jemison, Alabama.
