Clifford Littleton, Jr.

Clifford Littleton, Jr., 86, of Alcoa, Tennessee passed away peacefully on June 21, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 30, 1935.  He was the son of Clifford Hayes Littleton and Kate Baker Littleton. He was born and raised in Clanton Alabama, living there until he graduated Chilton County High School and joined the military. He married the love of his life, Doreen Shackelford and they recently celebrated 66 years of marriage.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, then retired from Martin Marietta in Oak Ridge TN where he was an electrician. Upon retirement he and Doreen enjoyed many years of travel in their RV, eventually moving to Alcoa TN near their children and grandchildren. Cliff was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a prankster and loved telling jokes and making others laugh.

Surviving are his Wife, Sylvia Doreen Littleton; Son, Darrell (Jani) Littleton; Daughter, Sheila (Sandy Bell) Littleton; Granddaughter, Christy Littleton (Justin Magleby); Grandson, John Clay Littleton, Great-Granddaughters, Madison Whitehead, Zoey Kopf; Sister, Katie Lain.

He was preceded in death by his Father Clifford Hayes Littleton, Mother Kate Littleton, Brother James Littleton, and Sisters Betty Sue Capshaw, Mary Howell, and Ruby Littleton.

Special thanks to his caregivers Christy Dailey and Kristin Dennis for their dedication, love, and commitment to Clifford.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Thorsby City Memorial Cemetery. Interment to follow.
